      two or three of those baby trees in front of these businesses, are dead. );
      i wish some of these businesses would “adopt” a tree.

      I agree, those baby trees need water and it’s been so dry lately. Are they going to fill in the new expanded area in front of the walgreeens completely with concrete sidewalk? A little green something would be pretty great there.

      These businesses didn’t shovel the snow in front of their locations before this sidewalk expansion. They are definitely not going to this winter when they are 3X the sidewalk to do. And there is always garbage on the sidewalk and in the gutter, I hope they add a couple of garbage cans.

      When NYC DOT presented the bump-outs and traffic calming solutions for McDonald/Church several months ago, he said DOT might consider requests for trees, benches, and planters on that corner. At Bergen and Smith streets, the bump out got a small garden with a ledge to sit on and corn growing inside. Let’s hope we do as well.
