Intel-Agent Computers

The new computer repair place on Fort Hamilton opened last week. They were promoting it by trying to raffle tickets at the Greenwood playground on Friday, $7 for a chance to get a new computer, or for $3 a ticket you could try your luck in getting a refurbished one.

We were excited to learn that something was happening in the old De Blasio spot, but obviously not a restaurant.  The internet cafe concept they have in mind is that of the 90s, not of the more current – “we’ll give you a lounge with wi-fi, bring your laptop, buy a cup of expensive coffee and linger” kind. The main business is clearly computer repairs. Not exactly clear who they cater to, but Mr Rodriguez may be a computer whiz extraordinaire, and we just don’t know it. Anyone used them?

Internet access is $5.00 per half hour, and they also sell coffee, frappes, donuts, and bagels. Currently open 9am-9pm daily. [Price corrected, per Wendy in the comments section.]

      This is a touch off topic but infant’s are terrific and absolutely awesome. I really never knew precisely how amazing newborns were until I became a momma.

      I think this place is in the wrong decade and the wrong location… I’m sorry the owner put so much money into it, as I doubt it will succeed. :(

      Seems like a strange location for this kind of shop as this is not a high foot traffic area where someone would need an internet cafe.
      To be honest, I wouldn’t bring my computer here. The graphics and signage look so low tech and low budget that I would think that they are not really in the know when it comes to new technology.

      Intel-Agent Computers is a computer repair/sales & internet café.
      We charge $5/hour for internet. We offer tea, coffee & frappes at a low-cost for our customers.
      We are proud to be a part of this neighborhood & have received nothing but positive feedback from our neighbors except for this blog.
      If we fail, @ least we can say that “we tried our best”.
      It would have been greatly appreciated if our permission was asked before being placed on this blog.
